Four in a Row
Drop discs into the upright grid and connect four first — the computer looks deeper every game.
About the game
Four in a Row is a classic gravity connection game: discs drop to the bottom and both sides race to line up four. The computer uses alpha-beta search and looks further ahead each game.
How to play
- Discs fall to the lowest empty slot in the column.
- The first to connect four horizontally, vertically or diagonally wins.
- A win scores 100 + 20 × game number and starts the next game; draws continue; a loss ends the run.
- Each win deepens the computer’s search by one move.
Controls
Tap a column to drop; or use ← → and Space, or press 1–7.
Tips for a high score
- The center column is the most valuable.
- Watch for threats that become live once a lower slot fills.
- Create two threats at once so the computer can only block one.
